  According to China Earthquake Networks: An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred in Afghanistan at 00:47 on March 22, 2023. The epicenter was located at 36.50 degrees north latitude and 70.80 degrees east longitude, with a focal depth of 230 kilometers, about 333 kilometers from the nearest border of China.There are nine large and medium-sized cities within 300 kilometers of the epicenter, the nearest being Khorog, about 129 kilometers from the epicenter. As of 11:00 am on the 22nd, the earthquake caused 2 dead and nearly 20 injured. In addition, strong tremors were felt in the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, and India. Affected by the earthquake, 9 people have been killed and more than 300 injured throughout the country.

  The National Cryosphere Desert Data Center(NCDC) for Glaciology and Permafrost Desert collects and prepares basic geographic data, satellite remote sensing data, population data, topographic data and other emergency response scientific data based on disaster situations.The "Emergency response service of scientific data for Afghanistan M 6.9 earthquake (20230322)" system has been released, which provides data visualization, interoperation and data download capabilities.For use by relevant emergency, rescue and research departments.
